The Science of Creating Effective Learning Materials with Dual Coding

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
As teachers, we often create learning materials in the form of slide presentations, handouts, and materials written on whiteboards. In this session, we’ll examine what cognitive science and dual coding theory has shown to be the most effective ways to present and organize these materials. Participants will explore these slide design fundamentals, learn specific practices on how to fix materials that are less effectively designed, and receive numerous free resources for designing the most effective slides.
