Trauma in Children and Youth and Solutions in the Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Covid 19 has brought trauma to children and youth and is an ongoing issue in the classroom. We bring detailed information to both recognize and find solutions to the complexity trauma brings. We bring teaching on how the brain and body are affected by stress and trauma including PTSD, Adverse Childhood Experiences(ACE's), Positive Childhood Experiences(PCE), resilience, compassion training and boundaries. As a teacher it is possible to be experiencing one's own trauma. We explore ways to take care of oneself and students in the midst of this pandemic.
