Magnetic Manipulatives: 3D Printed Whiteboard Tools for Teaching High School Science

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
There has been a shift in educational technology back toward the humble front of class whiteboard. Inexpensive, ubiquitous, and rarely in need of a system update, your whiteboard is an essential teaching tool...if only you could move and manipulate the diagrams you draw, like on an interactive whiteboard. Enter Reuben and Brad, two seasoned High School Science teachers who are here to show you hands on examples of how to use magnetic manipulatives in their classrooms, with examples from a range of different High School Science Classes (Biology 20/30, Chemistry 20/30, Physics 20/30, Science 10/20/30) - instructions on how to 3D print their own manipulatives - inspiration for how to create effective manipulatives even if a 3D printer is not present at the school
