Reaching 1 million students annually, EcoSchools Canada is the largest voluntary, bilingual environmental certification program for K-12 schools in Canada. Thanks to a new and exciting partnership between the Alberta Council for Environmental Education and EcoSchools Canada is now available to all publicly funded schools across Alberta, at no charge. In this session, learn about how your school can become an EcoSchool by engaging students in curriculum-linked, environmental learning and action through a choice of over 45 actions including schoolyard greening, water and energy conservation, active transportation, and waste reduction - most of which are also climate solutions. We will also demonstrate how EcoSchools’ powerful and fully bilingual on-line platform allows you to create a customized action plan for your school and track your progress. Join us to learn about the many benefits of being part of the growing EcoSchools in Alberta network - this is one invitation you won’t want to miss!
