CCUS gives us confidence that Alberta and Canada can meet their climate change goals. Enhance Energy collaborates with companies that are capturing and transporting carbon emissions, bringing them to our sequestration facility in Central Alberta. This year we’ve sequestered over 1 million tonnes of CO2 emissions – that’s like taking 350,000 cars off the road! In this session, you’ll hear about where CO2 goes, how we do it and how we make sure that it stays there. The session on Carbon Capture and Our Energy Transition supports teachers as you add excellent energy, environmental and climate education program to enrich your knowledge that can be readily transferred to your students. The session will showcase how carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) contributes to the transition to net zero in multiple ways. The session will highlight the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL) and how Alberta is an amazing place for CCUS. The session will also discuss offsets, the Alberta Carbon Hub and collaboration in the industry to make it happen.
